Lillie and Luciano Pruna financed their own circuses and had many adventures with their new business. The Tatali Circus appeared in Cuba, Mexico, and South America.  The family found themselves in a new, wild, uncharted frontier.

“...a circus has so powerful a fascination that I do not think I could bring myself to leave it."

THOUSANDS AT THE BIG CITY SHOW

NEW PERFORMERS AT MADISON SQUARE GARDEN

April 1, 1891

“The feature of the evening was the graceful bareback riding of Rose and Lillie Meers.  This was the first appearance in America of these famous women, and their daring work is said to be unequaled in circus annals.  It is perhaps the most finished performance that has been given to the show this season.  The size of the audience at both performances fully justifies the management in maintaining the highest order of circus work.”
